Fosston 3 at Roseau 2 (18-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23,15-13)

The Fosston Greyhounds had their backs against the wall but were able to pull off an incredible rally to defeat the Rams at Roseau on Tuesday night. With the Greyhounds trailing 2 sets to 1 and down 23-17 in the fourth set Evie Dryburgh stepped to the service line for Fosston and served out the rest of the set to force a deciding fifth set. Three of Dryburgh’s service points were aces including the set winning point. The fifth set was tied at 13-13 but the Greyhounds were able to score the final two points to take the match in five sets. Katelyn Vesledahl led Fosston with 16 kills as the Greyhounds improve to 13-2 overall. Brylea Mahlen added 8 kills and Tessa Manecke 7 kills for Fosston. Anya Severson had 10 kills and Aubrey Waage added 9 kills for the Rams as they fall to 5-6 overall. Fosston will return to action on Thursday, September 22nd when they travel to Ada-Borup-West (106.5 FM & Your Live Event). The Rams will also play their next match on Thursday, September 22nd when they travel to East Grand Forks to face the Green Wave.  Roseau won the “B” Squad match over Fosston 2-1 while the Rams also won the “C” Squad match 2-0.
