BBB Thompson 63, Grafton 47

Fifth-ranked Thompson improved its Region 2 record to 5-1 as the Tommies defeated Grafton 63-47 Thursday night in Thompson.

Gavin Krogstad scored 18 points and Karter Peterson 17 to lead Thompson to its second win over Grafton this season (59-56 on January 7 in Grafton).

Except for an early 4-3 Grafton lead, Thompson led throughout the game; leading 18-12 after one quarter, 36-22 at halftime and 48-32 after three quarters.

Reggie Rice scored 23 points to lead Grafton (8-7, 1-5 in Region 2) with Kyler Droog adding 15 for the Spoilers.

Thompson was 9 of 14 at the free throw line, while Grafton made 11 of 18.  Each team turned the ball over 9 times.  Thompson won the rebounding battle 41-35.

Thompson will host third-ranked Shiloh Christian Saturday afternoon at 3pm.  Grafton hosts Oak Grove Friday night.
