The Bronco baseball team played at home for the second straight day as they took on the Greenway-Nashwauk-Keewatin Titans in a game heard on K104, rjbroadcasting.com and seen on Your Live Event.com. The game was scoreless through 2 innings before the Titans opened the scoring with 2 runs in the third. Jett Tomczak led off the bottom of the third with a walk, stole second and scored on a single by Knute Boerger. Boerger than scored on a single by Owen Wherley and the game was tied at 2. GNK scored 3 runs in the 4th with the benefit of 2 Bronco errors and the Falls got one back in the bottom of the 4th with another RBI single by Owen Wherley to make the scored 5-3. The Broncos would score one in the 6th but then Mother Nature took over, first with lightning and then with a downpour as they Falls lost the game, 5-4. Cody Joslyn had 2 hits in the game as the Broncos left 11 runners on base in the 1 run loss. Jett Tomczak pitched all 6 innings striking out 6, allowing just 4 hits and 3 walks but 6 fielding errors played a factor in the defeat. The Broncos play a doubleheader on the road today as they take on Mountain Iron Buhl at 1:00 and Hibbing at 4:30 and we will have both games on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com.
