Henning vs. Border West

In the first year of the co-op for Boys Basketball, the Border West Buccaneers are heading to State.  The Buccaneers defeating the Henning Hornets 65-51 in the Section 6A Championship game.  Border West and Henning exchanged the lead and shared a few ties in the first half, but Border West would stretch a lead to nine points, and see it shrink to four points at halftime.  The Hornets would fall behind again by nine points, but would catch fire and cut the lead to just three points with 10 minutes to play.  That would be as close as it would get, and the Buccaneers would rely on strong offensive presence and free throws to outlast the Henning Hornets, and raise the trophy for the 6A Boys Basketball Championship.

19-25 free throws, 31 rebounds, 12 turnovers
Border West will advance to State and await the seedings, which expect to be announced late Saturday or Sunday
