International Falls at Duluth Marshall

The International Falls baseball team took on the Duluth Marshall Hilltoppers in the opening round of the Section 7AA playoffs. It was a great start for the Broncos as Jett Tomczak led the game off with a triple and scored on a sacrifice bunt by Cody Joslyn who was the starting pitcher for the Falls. Owen Wherley walked and would score later on a single by Gavin Loveless to take a 2-0 lead. The Hilltoppers answered back with 2 runs of their own in the second to tie the game and then scored 7 runs in the 3rd inning to take control of the game, 9-2. Wherley and Alex Larson scored in the 5th but it wasn’t enough as the Bronco season came to an end by a final of 13-4. Head Coach Phil Talmage said the boys showed early what they are capable of
Tomczak had 2 hits in the game and Owen Wherley was on base three times.
