Recap

The Bronco softball team went to Ely to face the Timberwolves in an Arrowhead Conference game yesterday afternoon.  The game was a pitcher’s duel through three innings as neither team could push across a run.  Havyn Pelland started the 4th inning with a single and scored on an RBI by Sylvia Valenzuela and then one batter later, Brooklyn Tomczak scored on a single by Hannah Anderson. The score would remain 2-0 in favor of the Falls until the sixth inning when the Broncos would bring 11 batters to plate.  Kale Taylor had an RBI double, and Gracie Swenson had a 3-run double as the Broncos scored 6 times.  The Falls would add 3 more runs in the 7th as they defeated Ely 11-1.  Gracie Swenson pitched well for the Falls as she struck out 7 and her defense was superb.  After the game, freshman Kale Taylor said that playing 3rd base for the first time at the varsity level was interesting.

The Bronco softball team is now 4-4 on the season and will have their first home game of the season this afternoon at 4:30 against Virginia.  Pregame coverage begins at 4:10 on K104, rjbroadcasting.com, and Your Live Event.com.
