International Falls at Grafton

The International Falls boys hockey team took on Grafton-Park River yesterday in Warroad in a game heard on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com. The Broncos broke through just 95 seconds into the game on an unassisted goal by Braden Skifstad. The Falls added to their lead with a goal by Royce Allan to lead to 2-0 after the first. Grafton cut their deficit in half with a power play goal before Colin Kostiuk scored on the power play with less than a second left directly off the faceoff to give the Broncos a 3-1 lead after 34 minutes. The Spoilers would score twice early in the third to tie the game at 3 and the remainder of the 3rd period was filled with great chances for both teams, but the goalies stood strong to force overtime. Grafton-Park River would win the game just 17 seconds into overtime as the Broncos fell 4-3. After the game, Colin Kostiuk talked about his power play goal off the faceoff.
The Falls plays again this afternoon as they will battle the Warroad Warriors at 1:30. The Warriors defeated Osseo 11-0 last night. Pregame starts at 1:15 on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com.
