Recap

The International Falls boys hockey team played its last regular season game last night in Baudette in a game heard on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com.  After a scoreless first period, Lake of the Woods broke through with a pair of goals including one on the power play with 17 seconds left in the frame.  The Broncos scored a power play goal of their own just over 3 minutes into the third.  Cody Joslyn knocked it in with Max Dremmel getting the assist.  LOW regained their two goal advantage 2.5 minutes later but the Broncos were not done as the Bears took a minor and major penalty on the same whistle.  The Broncos did not score on the 5-3 but with the goaltender Tyrel Shoberg on the bench, the Falls did score with 2:52 left on the 6-4 advantage.  However, the Broncos could not get the tying goal and fell 3-2.  After the game, Shoberg, who made 22 saves in the game, said it was a slow fall to the loss.

The Broncos finish the regular season with a 7-17 record and will now play in the opening round of the Section 7A playoffs tomorrow afternoon at 3:00.  The Falls received the #7 seed and will play #10 seed Moose Lake Area, a team they defeated 10-0 on Monday.  Pregame starts at 2:40 on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com.  In the other Section 7A playoff game tomorrow, #8 North Shore hosts #9 Ely-NE Range.
