International Falls at Moose Lake/Willow River

The Bronco football played its first game on the road for the 2021 season as they were in Willow River to face Moose Lake Willow River.  The hosts wasted no time scoring as they returned the opening kickoff to the Bronco 31 yard line and scored 4 plays later to make it 7-0.  The Rebels would add 3 more touchdowns in the first and 3 more TD’s in the second quarter as they led 48-0 at the break.   MLWR, who is favored to win Section 7AA once again, added a 3^rd quarter TD for a final score 55-0.  As good as the Rebel offense was, it may be the defense that may be better as they held the Broncos to 41 yards rushing and 8 yards passing.  Diego Christianson carried the ball 12 times for 57 yards to lead the Broncos and he talked about why the Rebel offense is so effective.

The Bronco football is now 0-2 on the season and they will host 2-0 Mesabi East next Friday night.
