Quianna Ford also qualified for the state meet by taking second in the pole vault.  Four girls all made 8 feet 6 inches, but Ford took 2nd on the number of misses.  Quianna says that she had to change somethings to be successful with the strong tailwind

Ryan Ford, Quianna’s older sister, also made 8’ 6” but took 4th place on the number of misses but also ran in 3 events.  Ryan says that all 4 of her events were difficult with the conditions.

Ryan also placed 4th in her other individual event, the 800 meter run.  Abbi Hutchinson also participated in 4 events, 2 relays and 2 individual.  In her individual events, she placed 3rd in the triple jump, missing going to state by 3.5 inches, and 5th in the long jump.  Abbi just started these 2 events in the last month and talks about what it takes to get this close to qualifying for state so quickly.

Jillian Bilben placed 7th in the 100 meter hurdles and says that she made the finals and that’s all that matters.

Bailey Herberg ran in 2 relays and in the open 400 meter dash where she placed 7th.  Bailey says the final 100 into the wind was difficult

The 4 x 200 relay of Mary Versteeg, Bilben, Piper Tomczak, and Herberg took 5th.

The 4 x 400 relay of Lowe, Herberg, Hutchinson, and Ryan Ford placed 8th and

The 4 x 800 relay of Lowe, Quianna Ford, Hutchinson, and Ryan Ford took 5th

For the Bronco boys, Braden Skifstad placed 4th in the discus and missed going to state by 7 inches. Braden talks about that result was both good and bad.
