International Falls Broncos at Rush City
Recap
The International Falls football team took the long trip to Rush City to battle the 6-0 Tigers. The home team took the opening kickoff and drove 73 yards for an 8-0 lead. The Broncos went 3 and out and Rush City went 77 yards to make it 16-0. International Falls answered back with 57 yard drive that was finished with a 30 yard pass to Cooper Crandall from Cody Joslyn and the Broncos were within 16-6 at the end of the first quarter. The second and third quarters belonged to Rush City as they scored 3 times in the second and 2 more in the third to build at 52-6 advantage. The Broncos scored twice in the 4th quarter. The first was a 5-yard pass from Joslyn to Hendrix Torgerson with Parker Olson added the 2-point conversion on a shovel pass from Joslyn. The final TD was by Logan Nordby as he started right, broke a tackle, turned left, broke another tackle and then finished the 43-yard run to the endzone. Nordby says he did what the coaches told him to do.
Final score was 52-20 as the Broncos fall to 2-5 on the season and will host Crosby-Ironton on Wednesday in the regular season finale.
