Fosston 3 Lake Park-Audubon 0 (25-7, 25-10, 25-21)

It was a happy Parents Night for the Fosston Greyhounds Tuesday night at they swept the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders 3-0 (25-7, 25-10 & 25-21). The Greyhounds dominated the first two sets by jumping out to a 13-1 lead in the first set and an 8-1 lead in the second set. The third set was very close with it being tied at 21-21 before Fosston scored the final four points to secure the set and match. Brynlea Mahlen and Tessa Manecke led the Greyhound attack with seven kills each as as Fosston improves to 21-4 overall and 8-0 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Genevive Rue added 5 kills for the Greyhounds who were coming off a 2-2 day at the Perham Invitational this past Saturday. Myah Rosing, Thea Mattson and Taytum Nelson each had three kills as the Raiders fall to 3-17 overall and 1-6 in conference play. Fosston won the “B” Squad match 2-1 (22-25, 25-16 & 15-7). The Greyhounds will return to action on Thursday, October 13th when they travel to East Grand Forks Sacred Heart (96.7 FM). The Raiders will also return to the court on Thursday, October 13th when they host the Bagley Flyers.
