Thompson’s boys’ basketball team dominated the final three quarters on Tuesday as the Tommies routed Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich 80-30 in Thompson.

After taking an 18-16 lead after one quarter, Thompson outscored the Cardinals 62-14 in the final three quarters.  They did it by forcing 20 Langdon Area turnovers and converting those turnovers into fast break baskets.  Four Tommies scores in double figures: Drew Overby with 19, Jake Starcevic 17, Karter Peterson 16 and 12 for Thomas Schumacher.

Ninth-ranked Thompson improves to 4-3 on the season; they’ll host third-ranked Grafton Friday night.

Langdon-Area-Edmore-Munich is now 2-5 on the year; the Cardinals play at Hatton-Northwood on Thursday.
