HUNTER, ND – Northern Cass opened up the girls basketball season with a 69-49 win over Lisbon on Tuesday night in Division A girls basketball.

Haidyn Crockett finished with a game-high 32 points and the Jaguars gave Kyle Morehart his first win as head coach for the program. Morehart takes over for D.C. Lucas who stepped down following a trip to the state tournament last season.

The Jaguars will play White Shield at the Barnes County Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, December 10 in Valley City for their next contest.

Lisbon was paced by Ryatt Wertman with 17 points and Brynn Wiltse added 14 points and 9 rebounds for Lisbon. The Broncos return to the court on Thursday for their home opener against Richland at 7:30 p.m. on yourliveevent.com.
