Littlefork-Big Falls at Northland

In a match heard on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com, the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings faced the Northland Eagles on the road.  The Vikings trailed 12-3 at one point in the first set but scored 13 consecutive points to rally to win Set 1, 25-19.  LBF fell behind early in Set 2 but pulled away late to win the set 25-17.  Northland lead the entire Set 3 taking it 25-17 and staying in the match.  It was all Vikings in Set 4 as LBF used two big runs to defeat Northland 25-11 and 3-1 in sets.  Anissa Wimmer who had 10 kills and 4 ace serves, talks about why the Vikings got the win.

Destiny Piekarski, who had 18 kills, 3 blocks, and 4 ace serves, says there is a plan that Head Coach Cindy Hasbargen talks about during timeouts.

Karlie Gustafson had 29 set assists while Megan Galusha added 4 kills for the Vikings who are now 7-13 on the season and will be in Babbitt tonight to face Northeast Range at 6:00 in their final regular season match.
