The Mahnomen Waubun took advantage of Lake Park Audubon mistakes and prime opportunities in the first half to come away with a 40-12 win over the Raiders.  The Thunderbirds worked with short fields for most of the first half due in part to some special teams miscues by the Raiders.  The Thunderbirds offense was able to to score on 5 of 6 possessions in the first half with their offense clicking on all cylinders while the Raiders struggled to find any offensive rythm.  The Raiders did have a few sparks in the first half with their passing game which would get them into the end zone on a 59 yard pass completion.  Mahnomen Waubun would go into half leading 33-6.  The Raiders would make some half time adjustments and owuld play much better in the 2nd half moving the football, while the Thunderbirds would make some mistakes defensively.  Each team would score once in the 2nd half to make the final 40-12 with Mahnomen Waubun moving to 2-0 on the season while LPA falls to 0-2.
