Morris-Benson at International Falls

The International Falls girls hockey team hosted the Morris-Benson Area Storm in a pair of games over the weekend.  On Friday, the Storm scored twice to open the scoring in the first period before Lola Wade scored the first goal of the year for the Broncos with assists to Sarah Lindahl Slatinski and Tirzah Carradice.  Storm captain Karlie Bruns completed her hat trick before the end of the first period and MBA led 3-1.  The Falls would score the only goal of the second period as Carradice weaved through traffic and went top shelf to make it 3-2 going to the final period.  The Storm regained their 2 goal margin 4.5 minutes into the 3^rd but the Broncos weren’t going to go away as Savannah Valentine scored with 6.5 minutes left to make it 4-3.  However Bruns scored unassisted twice to make it 6-3 before Kylyn Glennie scored shorthanded in the final minute for the final score of 6-4.  Glennie says the goal was pretty exciting.
