Nashwauk-Keewatin at International Falls Broncos

Recap

The Bronco volleyball team wrapped up their regular season with a home match against 13-8, Nashwauk-Keewatin.  The first 2 sets went to the Broncos by scores of 25-22 and 25-14, but the Spartans rallied to take Set 3, 25-19.  The Falls had to do some rallying of their own in the 4th set and were able to come back and take the set 25-22.   Four players had double digit kills for the Broncos as Madison Wille had 14 and Gracie Swenson, Lola Valenzuela, and Bella Wille each had 12.  The Broncos should have secured the #2 seed for next Wednesday’s opening round of the Section 7AA playoffs with the win and will play either Crosby-Ironton or Two Harbors at home that night.  The seeding process will take place Friday morning.

The Bronco JV team won 26-24, 25-16 as Cheznee Skrien had 7 kills and 3 aces, Neva Kokesh and Piper Tomczak each had 4 kills and Lola Wade had 3 kills and 2 aces.  The Bronco 8th graders won 26-24 and 25-6.
