New York Mills 26 Mahnomen-Waubun 21

The New York Mills Eagles took advantage of Mahnomen Waubun mistakes through out the night and also converted on 4th down and long twice for touchdowns to get the win over the Thunderbirds 26-21.  Mahnomen Waubun struggled with fumbles which would stop big drives, and the Eagles would turn 3 of those turnovers into points.  With the Thunderbirds being down 20-8 Mahnomen Waubun put 2 scores on the board to take the lead in the 4th quarter at 21-20.  New York Mills would get the ball back and put together a drive that would place them on the THunderbird 34 yard line and faced with a 4th and 7.  It would be long pass down the field that Eagles receiver Deshaun Robinson would haul in between 3 Thunderbird defenders in the end zone to put the Eagles back on top at 26-21.  Mahnomen WOuld have 1 more chance on offense but a penalty and some miscues would stop the drive and New York Mills would come away with the in.  The Eagles end the regular season at 7-1, and Mahnomen Waubun heads to the playoffs at 7-1.
