Ogilvie at McGregor

Despite 33 points from Ethan Bohn and near perfect shooting at the free throw line, the McGregor Mercs were hampered by turnovers in a 66-54 Section 5A-East loss to the Ogilvie Lions Friday night.
After getting the early lead, McGregor hit a cold streak shooting and turnovers allowed Ogilvie to jump out by double-digits for must of the first half. McGregor was to get the deficit down to one possession but went into the halftime break down 30-23.
The second half quickly went through McGregor’s hands and they ended the game with 23 turnovers but still did not lament the game. The Mercs trailed by as much as 21 and whittled it down to 5 as Ethan Bohn score 20 of his 33 points in the second half. Ogilvie had 3 scorers in double digits, led by Hunter Kenyon’s 19 points.
Ogilvie is now 6-3 on the season with a home game against Pine City on Thursday. McGregor is now 3-4 with a tough match-up against rival Cromwell-Wright Tuesday at home, which will be broadcasted on KKIN-FM 94.3 and rjbroadcasting.com.
