The Fosston Greyhounds scored the final two points in the fourth set to win 25-23 and take the match in four sets over Park Christian (25-20, 22-25, 25-19 & 25-23). It was homecoming for the Greyhounds and the match drew a large crowd to the Fosston Gym. Katelyn Vesledahl led the Greyhounds with 18 kills and five service aces as Fosston improved to 15-2 overall. Genevive Rue added 9 kills and Brynlea Mahlen 7 kills for Fosston. The two previous matches that Fosston played (at Roseau and at Ada-Borup-West) went to five sets and it looked like it might happen again Tuesday night as the fourth set was tied at 23-23. The Falcons fall to 11-5 overall and will return to action on Thursday, September 29th when they host Mahnomen/Waubun (101.5 FM). The Greyhounds return to action on Thursday, September 29th when they travel to Win-E-Mac (96.7 FM). Park Christian won the “B” Squad match 2-1 and the Falcons also won the “C” Squad match 2-0 over Fosston. Fosston Senior Setter Kinsley Duppong was honored prior to the match for recording 1,000th career assist at a tournament in Walker on September 17th.
