Perham at Pequot Lakes
Recap
The Pequot Lakes Patriots welcomed Perham to the PAC on Thursday, searching for their first win over Perham in over a decade. It was not to be; the Patriots fell flat offensively for their lowest scoring output of the season.
Perham executed terrific defense throughout the game led by senior Micah Thompson. The Patriots did not get on the scoreboard until about 4 minutes into the game and their offensive struggles resulted in only 12 points at the halftime break; the Yellowjacket offense hardly fared better, and the score was 25-12.
The Yellowjackets continued their show of defensive force to start the second half, as midway through the half they found themselves up 37-19. The Patriots rallied briefly for an 11-1 run to make it a 38-30 game, but from there, Perham once again put the clamps down, and coasted to a 52-35 win.
Pequot Lakes (15-5) will host Crosby-Ironton on Friday, while Perham (11-7) travels to DGF.
