Rainy River Baseball at Northland CC

The Rainy River baseball team played Northland in a doubleheader in Eveleth yesterday.  In Game 1, the Voyageurs trailed 6-2 going to the bottom of the 6^th.  Rainy responded with 4 runs to tie the game at 6.  Northland scored 3 runs in the top of the 7^th before the Voyageurs answered back with 3 of their own to force extra innings tied at 9.  The Pioneers scored 3 more runs in the top of the 8^th but Rainy River could not get a run across in the bottom of the 8^th and lost 12-9.  Ethan Bergen had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Mateo Sierras had 2 hits and 2 runs scored, Diego Ramos had 2 hits including a triple, and John Michael Gonzalez Jr had a home run.
