Red Lake at Indus

In a match heard on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com, the Indus Trojans volleyball team opened their season with a home match against the Red Lake Warriors.  Early in Set 1, it was all Red Lake as they built a 13-3 lead.  However, the Trojans would chip away and win the first set 25-21.  Set 2 belonged to the Warriors as they evened the match at a set each, winning 25-12.  The third set was a back and forth affair with 19 ties and 9 lead changes, and it was Red Lake that prevailed 30-28.  The Warriors used that momentum to take the 4^th set and the match 25-11.  Bree Hasbargen led the Trojans with 8 kills and Lyndsey Newburgh had 2 ace serves.  After the match in the postgame interview, Hasbargen said the Trojans did some beautiful things.

The Trojans are right back on the floor tonight as they travel to Cloquet to face Fond du Lac at 5:30.
