The Fosston Greyhounds had four players in double figures and went on to defeat the Red Lake County Rebels 85-61 Thursday night in Fosston. Cullen Norland led the Greyhounds with 18 points and 7 rebounds with Zach Theis adding 16 points. Aaron Norland scored 15 points and Carsen Boushee pitched in with 13 as the Greyhounds improved to 16-3 overall. The Greyhounds have won four in a row and seven of their last eight games. Gerald Melin led the Rebels with 20 points as Red Lake County falls to 9-9 overall. The two teams combined for 21 three pointers with the Greyhounds hitting eleven triples and the Rebels ten three pointers. Will Gieseke scored 15 points for Red Lake County and Connor Duden hit four three pointers and ended up with 14 points for the Rebels. Fosston led 44-31 at halftime and trailed only twice in the game at 2-0 and 4-3. Red Lake County shot 11 of 12 at the free throw line while the Greyhounds were 8 of 11 at the stripe. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 65-51 with the Greyhounds also coming out on top in the “C” Squad game 42-31.
