#2 Hillsboro/Central Valley 64 #7 Cavalier 29

Hillsboro/Central Valley put on a strong defensive effort Monday, holding Cavalier to eight first half points as the Burros blew past the Tornadoes 64-29 in the North Dakota Region 2 Boys Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals in Grand Forks.

The Burros never trailed in the game, leading 31-8 at halftime, as they improved to 15-7 on the season.  Junior Jacob Brandt scored 16 points to lead HCV, with Landon Olson scoring 13 and Carter Limke ten.

Talan Devine scored 16 to lead Cavalier.  The Tornadoes end the year 8-15.

Hillsboro-Central Valley now plays defending Region 2 champion Grafton in the semifinals Tuesday night in Grand Forks.
