Recap

Two big innings at the plate helped Sebeka snap a six-game losing streak and defeat the Pine River-Backus Tigers.

It was 2-1 Pine River-Backus after the first. Sebeka’s bats, along with some free passes on walks helped the Trojans bring five across the plate in the top of the second. Then, in the third, the bats for Sebeka stayed hot as they scored seven runs on seven hits. The Trojans pushed the lead to 16-2 in the top of the fourth with three more runs.

Pine River-Backus wasn’t about to go too quietly as they took advantage of a few Trojan miscues to plate four in the bottom of the fourth. However, that would be all for the Tigers as for the fourth straight game, with no scoring in the fifth inning, the Trojans picked up a win over the Tigers by 10 runs.

Sebeka goes to 2-6 on the season, PRB falls to 2-5. Pine River-Backus will host Staples-Motley Monday with a 4:10 start on WWWI-FM CASH 95.9.
