Section 8A BBB QF Northern Freeze vs Warren-Alvarado-Oslo

Thief River Falls, MN — The Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies controlled their quarterfinal round contest against the Northern Freeze in the Section 8A Boys Basketball Tournaments 70-43.

The game started with the Ponies leading at the midway point 15-7 and that was the point where Warren-Alvardo-Oslo began to take control of the game. Although the deficit was only 12 points at half, the Northern Freeze could never really get anything going in the half court against the length of the Ponies defense who use their length and size to wreck havoc on that end of the floor. The Ponies held a 53-35 lead at the 10:25 mark of half number two and they nursed that lead on the way to a 70-43 win.

With the win, Warren-Alvarado-Oslo moves into the West Sub-Section Championship on Wednesday night against the 2022 Section Champions, the Sacred Heart Eagles.
