Thunder Bay at Fort Frances Lakers

The Fort Frances Lakers opened their 22-23 season at Ice for Kids Arena on Saturday night in a game heard on Lakes Country 104.1 and rjbroadcasting.com.  The Thunder Bay North Stars opened the scoring 6:18 in the game but the Lakers tied it on a Brandon Kelly goal just over 4 minutes later with assists to Luke Ostrom and Brandon Rossetti.  However, from that point, the game was mostly the North Stars as they scored 7 unanswered goals in an 8-1 loss for the Lakers.  Fort Frances will play a 2-game series at Red Lake on Friday and Saturday.
