Two Harbors at International Falls

The International Falls Bronco volleyball team opened its 2021 season last night at the Falls High Gym as they faced the Two Harbors Agates. The Agates took a quick 5-0 lead in the first set, but from there it was all Broncos. The Falls used a 5-point run and 9-run to take the first set 25-13. The Broncos never trailed in Set 2 as they won 25-17. The girls used strong serving all match long and that continued in the 3rd set as the Broncos got the sweep 25-19. In all, the Falls had 18 ace serves including 9 from sophomore Gracie Swenson. Freshman Kale Taylor stepped up as the setter for the Falls and had 18 set assists along with 5 ace serves. Sophomore Olivia Thostenson had 6 kills, 3 ace serves and 5 blocks. After the match, senior captain Maddie Lowe said that Kale Taylor made big strides over the first 2 weeks of practice.
