Twin Valley, MN — The Win E Mac Patriots snuck out of Twin Valley on Friday night with a 66-65 win over the NCE/U-H Titans to extend their win streak to four games.

Win E Mac secured an early lead in the first half but it was quickly taken away by the Titans who lead for the great majority of the game. The Titans lead 28-21 with nearly four minutes to go in the first half but Win E Mac was able to go on a short run to make it a 30-28 game at the break.

All night long the Titan’s defense was tough. Flying around, ball pressure and playing a box and one defense on the Conference’s leading scorer Justin Courneya, who only had five points at half. Every single point that the Patriots were able to get was earned because of how stingy the Titans defense was. The Titans defense turned into easy offense for them in the second half as they were able to build a 12 point lead. But Win E Mac never gave in. They hit big shot after big shot to stay within striking distance and players like Jonas Spry and Cameron Bergman both came up huge as both were in double figures scoring for the game. The game could have went either way in the final possession but it was Win E Mac who outscored NCE/U-H 14-10 in the final five minutes to win 66-65.

The win is the Patriots fourth in a row as they improve 11-9 on the year and will host the Fosston Greyhounds next Tuesday. NCE/U-H falls to 6-11 this season and will have a whole week off before they play the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders next Friday the 10th.
