UMC Softball to Host ‘Hit-A-Thon’

Crookston, Minn. – Minnesota Crookston softball head coach Ashton Sangster announced that the Golden Eagles will host their first ever ‘Hit-A-Thon’ on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 12.

The program will be using the fundraiser to help fund their trip to Florida as they compete in the Spring Games in March.

The ‘Hit-A-Thon’ is broken up into two, two minute rounds of hitting per participant. The field will have three separate zones. The shallow outfield is zone one, medium outfield is zone two and deep outfield to the outfield wall is zone three. There is also the homerun zone over the fence.

Here is how the event will work:

  1. Choose a Player to Sponsor
  2. Pledge money toward a zone per ball hit, and/or a flat donation
  3. Each player receives two rounds of two minutes of hitting
  4. Totals are tallied up and sent to you

The event will be livestreamed and the link to watch will be announced at a later date. For further information, contact head coach Ashton Sangster at asangste@crk.umn.edu, or assistant coach Jacob Jeffries at jeffries@crk.umn.edu.
