Join the Bagley Public Library’s Book Club for a discussion of The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon. This gripping historical mystery is inspired by the diary of a renowned 18th century midwife. The book is set in Maine in 1789 and follows midwife and healer Martha Ballard as she investigates the murder of a man accused of rape and navigates the early American judicial system.

The group will meet on Friday, April 4 at 1 p.m. at the Bagley Public Library. The Bagley Public Library is located at 79 Spencer Ave., and is open from 1-7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays and from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays.
