Women in Ag Day at the Minnesota State Capitol
Women in Ag Day at the Capitol invites individuals working in agriculture to share their stories with legislators and state leaders during a special gathering on Wednesday, March 18 at the Minnesota State Capitol.
The event will feature farmer presentations during a legislative agriculture committee hearing at the Minnesota State Capitol. All those interested in listening to these presentations are welcome to attend. Participants may also take part in self‑guided activities, including observing floor sessions, visiting additional committee hearings, taking a Capitol tour, or scheduling meetings with their legislators.
Event details and registration information can be found at z.umn.edu/WIADAC2026.
Women in Ag Day at the Capitol was first envisioned in 2023 by Senator Mary Kunesh and the Senate Agriculture Committee to provide space for farmers and agricultural families to share meaningful, real‑life insights with their lawmakers. This event is open to all, regardless of gender identity, expression, or age, and families are welcome. Participants are encouraged to speak about the challenges they face, what they love about agriculture, and the realities of daily life on the farm.
