SB Sacred Heart at East Polk

Despite having only three hits in the game the East Polk North Stars (Fosston/Win-E-Mac) closed out their regular season with a 6-3 win over East Grand Forks Sacred Heart at Win-E-Mac. Sacred Heart jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first but the North Stars answered with two runs in the bottom of the first to make it 3-2. It stayed that way until the North Stars tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the third inning. The North Stars took their first lead when they scored two runs in the fifth inning with Vanessa Johnson and Calli Burrack scoring runs for East Polk. Lexi Mahlen, Kianna Tadman (double) and Vanessa Johnson each had one hit for the North Stars as they close out the regular season with an overall record of 15-4. Brynlea Mahlen picked up the win in the circle for East Polk and struck out 6 Sacred Heart batters. The Eagles drop to 9-8 overall with the loss.
