Dryden at Fort Frances Muskies

The Muskie boys also played in the playoffs yesterday and the game was also on KGHS and rjbroadcasting.com as the Fort hosted Dryden in the NORWOSSA semifinals.  The Fort Frances boys had defeated Dryden 10-0 and 9-1 during March so the expectations were high for the #1 seeded Muskies.  Surprisingly, the first period ended scoreless before the black and gold broke the game open with 4 goals in the second period and 4 more in the third in an 8-1 victory.  Cameron Mann got the win in goal.  Noah McPherson scored twice, Landon Lowes had a goal and 2 assists while Grayson Burnell, Taylor Chown, Callum McCormick, Ashton Barnes, and Josh Ward also lit the lamp for the home team.  After the game, Ward recapped the play of the Muskies.

The Muskie boys advance to the NORWOSSA championship game on Friday night.  The Fort will host the Beaver Brae Broncos at 7:45 at IFK Arena and will have that game on KGHS and rjbroadcasting.com.  The Broncos did hand the Muskies their only loss of the season, 2-1, back in December.
