Deer River at International Falls Broncos
Recap
The Bronco football team took on the Deer River Warriors at Sports Stadium. Deer River wasted no time as they scored just 3 plays into the game and led 7-0 just under 2 minutes into the game. The Broncos answered right back on a 17 yard touchdown pass from Cody Joslyn to Ezra McGonigle, Hayden Swenson added the 2 point conversion run and the Broncos led 8-7. The Warriors scored the next two TD’s to take a 23-8 advantage but Joslyn would add two more touchdown passes before halftime. One of those TD passes was a 49 yarder to Charlie Greenlee and the other was a 70-yard hook and lateral to Hendrix Torgerson who then lateraled it to Cooper Crandall who put in the final 64 yards to make it 23-20 Deer River at half. However, the Falls was unable to find the endzone in the 2nd half and Deer River would go onto a 45-20 victory to improve to 4-0 on the season. For the game, Joslyn went 14-25 for 200 yards passing and 3 TD’s. Cooper Crandall ran the ball 21 times for 86 yards and added 100 yards receiving as the Broncos drop to 0-4 on the season. The Falls has their homecoming game on Friday vs Hinckley-Finlayson.
