Artist Retreat in Lengby Offers Socialization, Painting and Drinks All in One Place

Lengby, MN – The Rockin’ A bar in Lengby will host the “Old School Artist Retreat Center’s Cocktail & Cavas Party” this weekend. Scheduled for Saturday, January 15th at 2 P.M., the artist retreat will have drinks and paintings for all interested in the creative process. Fosston High School art teacher Mike McColl is one of the organizers of the event. An avid supporter of the arts, as he has a sculpture displayed near the F.I.T. Trail called “The Flight of the Deco,” McColl says attendees will have the chance to learn about is American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. Known for her modern landscape paintings, many have dubbed O’Keeffe as the “Mother of American modernism.”

Taking place at the newly renovated bar in Lengby, the Cocktails & Canvas Party will provide a great opportunity to visit the Rockin’ A bar.. McColl says the old VFW made the perfect place to establish this bar, which will host events such as the Old Artist Retreat Center.
