BB Badger-Greenbush-Middle River at Ada-Borup-West
Ada-Borup-West scored its second double digit win in as many days Tuesday, as the Cougars defeated Badger-Greenbush-Middle River 11-1 in five innings at Tony Sipe Field.
The Cougars scored three runs in the first inning, with two coming in on a Lance Kritzberger single, and three more in the second. BGMR brought in a run in the fourth inning to make it a 6-1 game. Then ABW rallied for five runs in the fifth. Wyatt Larson drove in two runs with a triple. Larson scored on a Caspar Kritzberger sacrifice fly. Then Brennen Fetting doubled and was brought in on a Cameron Spaeth single to end the game on the ten run rule.
Fetting was also the winning pitcher for the Cougars (8-2), allowing one hit and one run with one walk and seven strikeouts. Barren Odden was 3 for 3 at the plate with an rbi. Spaeth, Lance Kritzberger and Larson drove in two runs apiece for the Cougars.
Will Foss took the loss for BGMR (1-5). Vincent Stenberg had the Gators’ only hit.
Ada-Borup-West will host Kittson County Central Thursday afternoon.
