Central Cass vs Hillsboro-Central Valley

The Central Cass Squirrels continued their undefeated season with a 61-52 road win over the Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros. It was a first half filled with scoring runs as the Burros started up 8-0 before the Squirrels rallied back with a run to lead 10-8 after the first quarter. The second quarter started with a Burro run to put them up seven until the Squirrels again rallied to lead 27-26 at halftime. The Squirrel rally continued after halftime and the combined 11-0 run put them up 32-26 early in the third. The lead would stretch into double figures until the Burros mounted another rally. In the final minutes they would trim the deficit to five pints, and and the ball with a chance to make it a one-score game. The Burros couldn’t get the shot they needed and the Squirrels were able to extend the lead from the free throw line to close out the game.
