The International Falls girls swimming and diving team hosted the Chisholm Bluestreaks at the Falls High Pool yesterday afternoon.  The Broncos dominated the meet as they won 10 of the 12 events.  Individually for the Falls

Brooklyne Dowty: 1st in the 200 Free

Quianna Ford: 1st in 200 Individual Medley and 1st in 100 Breaststroke

Kieren Ford: 1st in Diving

Sylvia Valenzuela: 1st in 100 Butterfly

Jillian Bilben: 1st in 500 Free

Kiera DeBanardeaux: 1st in 100 Backstroke

Liz Jantzen: 2nd in 100 Backstroke

Kendra Kalstad: 2nd in 100 Breaststroke

Lila Wood: 2nd in 200 Individual Medley

Mackenzie Minnick: 2nd in 100 Butterfly

Following the meet, Kieren Ford says her 1st place diving result was good but her diving was not her best.

All 3 relays took first place, Mary Versteeg, Quianna Ford, Bilben, Kalstad in 200 Medley;  Q Ford, Kalstad, Valenzuela, and Versteeg in 200 Free, and Versteeg, Valenzuela, Kalstad, and Bilben in the 400 Free.

 

 

 

Top finishes for the JV team include

Mckenna Whelchel: 1st in 200 Free and 300 Free

Gracie Froemke: 1st in 100 Individual Medley

Ava Silvers: 1st in 100 Backstroke

The girls have the Section True Team meet tomorrow in Hibbing which will be a preview of the Section 7A meet coming up in November as all 11 teams will be participating.  Diving at 9 am and swimming at 1:00 in the afternoon.
