VB: Crookston at Climax-Fisher

Climax-Fisher 3, Crookston 0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-13)

Eighth grader Peyton Hoffman had 15 kills and her Climax-Fisher teammates served 15 aces as the Knights defeated Crookston in three straight sets Monday on Senior Night in Climax.

The Knights stormed to a 7-0 start in the opening set as Hoffman had six kills and Climax-Fisher served six aces–three by Ella Paulsrud.

In set two, it was a 9-1 start for Climax-Fisher on their way to a 25-13 win. The third set saw the Knights jump to a 10-2 start as they went on to win that set 25-13 for the sweep.

Ella Paulsrud’s sister Lucy served seven aces for Climax-Fisher, while Halle Reitmeier added six kills and an ace.  The Knights are now 13-12 on the year and have won four of their last five.

Emma LaPlante had three kills to lead Crookston.  The Pirates are now 1-16 on the year and have dropped 15 in a row.
