Hawley Nugget coach Kathleen Rustad wanted to see the Nuggets start fast and keep the intensity up and that is what the Nugget in defeating the Crookston Pirates 3-0 (25-7,2,9). The Nuggets attacked from the service line (11 ace serves in the match) and the net (six players with at least three kills apiece) to control the sets from start to finish. Hawley improves to 10-3 and will have Homecoming next week when they host East Grand Forks and Breckenridge. Crookston falls to 2-14 and will be on the road next week traveling to Warroad and East Grand Forks.
