The Crosby-Ironton Rangers won the school’s first-ever state tournament game in girls basketball with a 63-50 victory over the Wildcats of New London-Spicer.
The Rangers avenged a regular season loss, putting together a tremendous defensive effort. A 12-0 run in the first half gave C-I an 11-point lead at 38-27, and they lead 38-29 at the break.
The Rangers were able to maintain their distance in the second half, pushing the advantage to 19 before the starters were pulled off the court.
