East Grand Forks 0 Wadena-Deer Creek 3 (25-13, 25-13, 25-21)

Lola Pulver had 15 kills to lead Wadena-Deer Creek to a three set sweep over East Grand Forks Thursday in the Section 8AA semifinals.

With EGF leading 4-3 in the opening set, the Wolverines went on a 12-0 run on their way to a 25-13 victory. 13 of Wadena-Deer Creek’s points came on Green Wave errors.

Pulver had four kills as the Wolverines went on a 10-3 run in set two, which Wadena-Deer Creek also won 25-13.

The third set was closer, with East Grand Forks leading 21-20 late in the set.  But kills by Pulver and Kennedy Ness, plus a block by Jada Dykhoff and two kills by Payton Gravelle gave the Wolverines a 25-21 victory and the match.

Gravelle added 13 kills as Wadena-Deer Creek improved to 21-9 on the season.  The Wolverines will face Perham in the 8AA title game Saturday night in Pelican Rapids.

McKaylee Fitzpatrick and Addison Kujawa had six kills apiece for East Grand Forks, with Fitzpatrick adding two blocks.  The Green Wave end the season 23-7.
