Eveleth-Gilbert at International Falls

In a game heard on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com and seen on Your Live Event.com, the International Falls girls basketball opened their season against Eveleth-Gilbert.  The Broncos took an early 6-0 lead before the Golden Bears tied it a 7 and again at 10 The Falls then went on a 27-5 run to lead 37-15 at the half.   That run included the Bronco defense holding Eveleth-Gilbert scoreless for nearly 9 minutes.  It was more of the same in the second half as International Falls won 58-27.  After the game, I asked sophomore Lola Valenzuela if she had been working on her rebounding

Olivia Thostenson led the Broncos with 22 points and 17 rebounds and senior captain Maddie Lowe added 14.  The Broncos travel to Coleraine on Friday to face Greenway.
