Cass Lake, MN — The Cass Lake-Bena Panthers defeated the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons 84-60 in the final game of the regular season on Friday night.

Cass Lake-Bena came out firing not only on offense but a lot of energy on the defensive side of the floor. Playing with active hands, the Panthers were able to tip passes that turned into easy baskets on the offensive side. Cass Lake-Bena started the game with a 22-6 lead. Fertile-Beltrami would go on their only run of the game of 17-3 cutting into the lead 25-23 but Cass Lake-Bena would make one more big run of 19-6 including a four point play to end the first half by Kingsley Whitebird, who finished with 25 points, and lead at the break 47-29. The second half had identical theme as the first. Cass Lake-Bena continued pouring in the points and it was tough sledding throughout for Fertile-Beltrami. Cass Lake-Bena puts a bow on their regular season beating Fertile-Beltrami 84-60.

Cass Lake-Bena finishes the regular season 20-6 with the win and Fertile-Beltami finishes 21-6.
