The NCE/U-H Titans overcame an 8-2 deficit to defeat Fertile-Beltrami 16-8 in the first round of the Section 8A Softball Tournament in Fosston. The Titans scored 12 runs in the sixth inning to help them pull away for the win. Carley Sip hit a two run homer in the second inning for Fertile-Beltrami as they scored four runs and led 5-2 after two innings. Jerran Madson doubled twice for the Titans and scored three runs. The Titans had 15 hits in the game while the Falcons had 8 hits. The Falcons end their season at 2-14 while the Titans improve to 10-9 overall.
