Fosston claimed their second straight road victory to open the season as the Greyhounds handed the Knights their first loss of the year.

The Greyhounds opened up the match on an 8-0 scoring run, leading 12-2 early in the first set. The Knights rallied to cut the lead to one at 19-18 before Fosston scored six unanswered to take the opening set.

Both teams went back and forth in the second set. Fosston led late in the second set, 24-18. The Knights staved off five consecutive set points to cut the lead to one before a Climax-Fisher error gave Fosston the second set victory.

Once again, the Knights found themselves in a deep deficit early in the third set, 12-3. Climax-Fisher would rally to hold a lead before a late Fosston run sealed the victory. Enbridge Energy Player of the Game, Brynlea Mahlen, recorded back-to-back aces to give the Greyhounds their second win of the year. Climax-Fisher drops to 2-1 with the setback in the home opener. Both teams will compete at an invitational at Ada-Borup West on Saturday.
