East Grand Forks outscored Fosston 42-28 in the second half and went on to defeat the Greyhounds 71-58 Thursday night in East Grand Forks. The Greyhounds led at halftime 30-29 but the Green Wave took the lead for good at 40-38. Austin Rusling and Clyde Anderson each scored 18 points for East Grand Forks as the Green Wave improved their overall record to 6-4. Caleb Zedlik came off the bench and added 12 points and 6 rebounds for East Grand Forks. Zach Theis led Fosston with 14 points as the Greyhounds fall to 9-2 overall. Darren Skala added 11 points and Aaron Norland and Carsen Boushee each scored 9 points for Fosston. The Greyhounds led by as many as six points in the first half but the Green Wave kept chipping away at the deficit before taking the lead in the second half. The Green Wave shot 14 of 21 at the free throw line while the Greyhounds were only 2 for 5 at the stripe. East Grand Forks received 41 points from their bench players in the victory over Fosston. East Grand Forks won the “C” Squad game 26-25 with the Green Wave also winning the “B” Squad game 53-52.
